Bishop Christopher Powell committed his life to the Lord when he was 17. He began preaching immediately and was ordained as a Minister at the age of 20. He was subsequently ordained an Elder, then ordained as a Bishop. Over the years Bishop Powell has served in many forms of Christian service such as youth ministry, foreign missions to Africa, college campus and street ministry in places including Wall Street and 42nd Street in New York City. Bishop Powell holds a Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Bible Theology and a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University. Bishop Powell is grateful to know Jesus, and treasures being filled with the Holy Spirit. Bishop Powell's sentiment echo's Apostle Paul's testimony found in 1 Timothy 1:12 which states, "... I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry".
Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established. Proverbs 16:3

We believe the Holy Bible is the infallible Word of God. We believe that the Bible in its entirety (Old and New Testament) is given by the inspiration of God (2 Timothy 3:16).
The Holy Bible is the sole authority recognized in the Church for salvation and Christian living.
We believe in the Trinity; that there are three persons in the Godhead, yet one God. (Genesis 1:26; St. Matthew 3:16; john 14:16; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 Timothy 3:16; 1 John 5:7).
We believe in one God who is Holy, eternal and immutable, triune in manifestation, being Father, Son and Holy Ghost, and that He is sovereign and absolute.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God (St. John 5:25; 10:36; 11:4), and the he is in fact God (St. John 1:1-14).
We believe that Jesus Chris suffered, died was buried and rose from the dead for the salvation of all mankind (Isaiah 53:6; 1 Timothy 2:6; 1 John 2:2; 2 Corinthians 5:19; Romans 5:6-10).
We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ was shed for the remission of our sins (Hebrews 9:11-28; Romans 5:9-11, Revelation 12:11).
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the father except through him (St. John 3:36; St. John 3:31-32; St. John 14:6).
We believe in the Holy Spirit who indewells, infills, empowers, anoints and regenerates the Believer (St. John 3:3-5; Titus 3:5; 1 Corinthians 6:19; Acts 2:4; Galatians 5:22-23; 1 John 2:27).
The Holy Spirit is called the Comforter, and the Spirit of Truth (St. John 14:17, 14:26).
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the sign of speaking in other tongues (Acts 2:4).
We believe in the manifestation of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit in accordance to 1 Corinthians 12:1-11.
We believe that it is God’s will to heal and deliver his people today as He did in the days of the first Apostles. It is in the name of Jesus Christ that we have authority over sickness, disease, curses, demons, and every circumstance in life (St. Luke 10:19; 2 Corinthians 10:4-5)
Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father's children shall bow down before thee. Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up? The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be. (Genesis 49:8-10 KJV)
Judah Temple Ministries
The Heritage Scripture of Judah Temple Ministries is drawn from the prophecy that Jacob (Israel) told his fourth son Judah when they were in Egypt. The Book of Genesis penned by Moses as inspired to him by the Most High God records that Jacob was near death at the age of 147 years old, but just before he passed on he, “called unto his sons, and said, gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days.” After prophesying to his first three sons, Reuben, Simeon and Levi, he prophesied to Judah and said, “Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father's children shall bow down before thee. Binding of his foal to the vine, and his asses colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes: His eyes shall be red with wine and his teeth white with milk.”
When we think of Judah, we think of praise, which is correct, but to expand on this, the great bible commentator Matthew Henry notes that “Judah’s name signifies praise. God was praised for him, praised by him, and praised in him; therefore his brethren shall praise him. Judah should be a strong and courageous tribe. Judah is compared, not to a lion raging and ranging, but to a lion enjoying the satisfaction of his power and success, without creating vexation to others; this is to be truly great. Judah should be the royal tribe, the tribe from which Messiah the Prince should come.”
Shiloh is mentioned in the Old Testament as an assembly place for the people of Israel which was set up when Joshua apportioned the land among the various Israelite tribes. Joshua 18:1 says “the whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled together at Shiloh, and set up the tabernacle of the congregation there.” However Shiloh as the assembly place lasted approximately 350 years until the Ark of the Covenant was taken by the Philistines from Ebenezer in Samuel the fourth chapter. Clearly when Jacob prophesied to Judah he was not speaking of the physical place Shiloh, but Shiloh that promised Seed in whom the earth should be blessed, that peaceable and prosperous One, our Savior, he shall come of Judah.
Much of what is here said concerning Judah is to be applied to our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus is the ruler of all his father's children, and the conqueror of all his father's enemies and He it is that is the praise of all the saints. Jesus is the lion of the tribe of Judah (Revelation 5:5), who having spoiled principalities and powers, went up a conqueror, and couched so as none can stir him up, when he sat down on the right hand of the Father. To Jesus belongs the sceptre he is the lawgiver, and to Him shall the gathering of the people be, who, being lifted up from the earth, should draw all men unto him. He is the true Vine; wine is the appointed symbol of his blood, which is drink indeed, as shed for sinners, and applied in faith; and all the blessings of his gospel are wine and milk, without money and without price, to which every thirsty soul is welcome (Isa. 55:1).
When we speak of Judah, we speak of Jesus Christ.
